The Federal Environmental Office of germany has calculated that every year in 22 billion kilowatt hours of energy are wasted in offices and private households due to appliances that are not switched off. This corresponds to 14 million tonnes CO2 emissions of and 1.2 billion tonnes electricity costs for consumers. We can put an end to this unnecessary waste. By always switching off our electronic devices and saying goodbye to the standby function in the long term, we can actively protect the environment and even save money.
