ENVIRONMENTAL:ISH
ABOUT THE Organisation
Teona, born in Minnesota and raised in Southern United States, where food access and community solidarity have been systematically denied to black and mixed race peoples for generations. But that story is changing. With Environmentalish, based out of Louisiana, Teona is giving young people of color the chance to learn gardening, farming, and business incubation.
Teona led us through the Food and Agriculture goal, which is, any way you slice it, one of the absolute keys to a better world and a healthier humanity. When we grow our own garden, eat in harmony with our internal and external environments, and turn food into a source of pleasure, joy, and vitality, we are changing the story for the better and painting a way forward for underserved communities worldwide.
