Runa

Vision
Our vision is to create a living example of an alternative lifestyle for our species, which can be modulated all around the world. By moving away from centralized, resource intensive and stressful environments, humans can shape communities that reduce their impact on our ecosystems drastically, and can become more independent in the pursuit of fulfilling their basic needs: shelter, food, water, education. These needs are an integral part of Runa\'s philosophy, we consider them to be human rights.
Mission
Using vegan permaculture techniques to create food forests and vegetable gardens that are perfectly integrated into the ecosystem. Enable an intercultural exchange between volunteers from many different countries and small local farmers. Create an alternative to our resource intensive capitalist system which strives for infinite growth in a planet with finite space&resources. Free children&adults from educational restrictions and create environments where learning can happen naturally.

Description

The Runa Project was created 2018, in the Amazon region of Peru, with the intention of creating a real example of a holistic way of life in tune with nature. Activities range from vegan permaculture to construction with renewable materials (i.e: bamboo, palm leaves, etc.) and participation or organisation of educational activities.
