Energy
The majority of electricity is consumed by industry. In Germany, for example, only about 25% of energy consumption is consumed by private households. Renewable energies represent only a very small share so far. In 2018, only 1 billion kWH of green energy was consumed. Energy consumption is split into the areas of electricity, heat and transport. The largest energy sources are crude oil, lignite and hard coal, natural gas and nuclear energy. According to the German government, this consumption is to be reduced to 82% by 2020 and increasingly replaced by green energy.
Energy
Wind energy is the largest energy supplier for electricity generation, followed by biomass (biogas, solid biomass, biogenic waste), photovoltaics, hydropower and geothermal energy. Energy sources such as biomass, solar thermal energy, as well as environmental heat and geothermal energy are suitable for heat generation.
The share of these renewable energies in Germany in 2018 was 14.2%.

Mobility
Mobility
In addition to CO2 emissions, the air is also polluted by nitrogen: over 72% of this is caused by diesel cars. Passenger transport accounts for 70% of energy consumption for mobility, of which road transport consumes about 82% and air transport about 12%. Rail transport and shipping account for only 3.5%. This transport causes greenhouse gas emissions, which in 2017 amounted to 176 million tons in Germany alone. These cause an increase in global temperature, acidification of our ecosystem and health hazards.
