ABOUT THE PROJECT
PRECIOUS PLASTIC
One of Madre Tierra’s Projects is the Precious Plastic Movement in Costa Rica. Precious Plastic is an open source design created by Dave Hakkens that enables anyone to build plastic recycling machines.
By turning useless waste into precious materials and items communities get empowered to improve their waste collection systems, provide additional jobs for the production of goods & get educated about the benefits of this precious Material. The Precious Plastic Movement in Costa Rica gets supported by the Dutch Embassy, The Chinese Government and several companies with corporate social responsibility.
Since Precious Plastic was one of the main projects promoted by Gaia Protection in the beginning, Fundacion Madre Tierra Verde and Gaia Protection work closely together to increase the project’s visibility attraction and development.
