Forest Protection

Approximately 31% of the world’s land surface is covered by forests. However, more than half of them are in just 5 countries: Russia, China, Canada, USA, and Brazil.

Every year, forest areas the size of Costa Rica are chopped down, i.e. 13,000,000 hectares. In the 90s it was even twice as much. Western corporations have deforested 9% of African forests in many African countries within 10 years.

While the size of the important primeval forests in the tropical regions continues to decline dramatically, countries such as Germany and China are showing initial success with targeted reforestation measures and an increase in forest area.

Animal Protection

The world of animals is unique and diverse. Nevertheless, humans keep on destroying it and the creatures are tortured, exploited and killed.

No matter if it is deforestation of the rainforest, which is the habitat of many animals, factory farming, killing chicks, the abuse of wild animals in circuses or tourism, animal testing or killing animals for the production of fur and wool.
